August 5th update

Everything going well. Marty is building a terrace at back of the farm as we have realised our visitors need to use the courtyard and we have no where to sit in the evening. Looks great!  Our 3rd party of guests are staying at the moment and they seem to be having a relaxing time. The weather is changeable but there have been some great summer days. We visited the North Devon show on Wednesday which was interesting and very busy, it took us an hour to queue to get in. Very British!
Things are growing like mad and we are finding it difficult to keep up with the weeds but even weeds look beautiful if they are allowed to grow to their full height. Some are 6ft! Don't forget to check out our website: www.higherpatcholeholidaycottagesdevon.co.uk.
As you can see from the photo below the barns are looking great.

Our first visitors July 2011

This has been a really busy time, finishing all the last minute detailing on the barn. It was a real achievement and wonderful to see it all come together and to welcome our first guests. The weather has not been great but there is such alot to see and do here that you cannot stay in even on rainy days.
We are looking forward to welcoming more visitors in August. Marty is even now starting to think about his next challenge, 'The threshing Barn'. Our new website has been live for about a month now http://www.higherpatcholeholidaycottagesdevon.co.uk/ check it out to see our progress.

Renovation of listed Barns for holidays, visit us in North Devon.

February 4th 2011.
We are chasing flooring and TV cabling at the moment and every thing seems to be coming together. The Shippen Barn is beginning to look amazing. Lots of painting to do, furniture to select and colour schemes to decide on. We are hoping that lots of people will want come and visit us and spend time in this beautiful part of the world. The local area is just breathtaking as you can see from the photo.
